The installation is very easy and is based on existing points. This means that it can also be used in leased vehicles without any problems.
The frunk is made from recycled, self-extinguishing PC/ABS. This makes the BMW iX3 frunk considerably more stable, scratch-resistant and temperature-resistant than normal ABS plastic. By using recycled material, we make our contribution to the sustainability of our products.

FAQs:
- Do I have to register my frunk or is there an ABE?
No and no. We have coordinated with the TÜV here and since the BMW iX3 Frunk can be installed and removed without tools, it is technically classified as a load. Thus, no ABE or other registration is required. - Does the installation of the frunk affect the thermal management?
No. The frunk is slanted towards the front and offers more than enough space underneath for air to escape. In the BMW iX3, greater waste heat is only generated during fast charging anyway. If you still have doubts, we recommend taking a look under the cover of a BMW X3 with combustion engine. There is far less space there and the combustion engine generates additional waste heat.

- Will I lose my warranty by installing the Frunk?
Since we can’t speak for BMW, we can’t answer that. We can only reassure you that in all our years we have never heard of a customer having problems. We can also not think of any valid arguments for a loss of warranty.

Frunk bestellt und sehr schnell erhalten.
Gleich eingebaut und den zusätzlichen Stauraum mit Kabel, Abschleppseil und klein Utensillien befüllt. Finde ihn einfach toll.
Auch scheppert bis anhin nichts. Was jedoch ein bisschen fehlt ist eine Einlegematte, damit es auch so ruhig bleibt und nichts herumrutscht.

The installation is pretty straight forward. Fitting needed a bit of attention in my iX3 with the need to heighten the front pins with some washers.
The rubbers which lock on these pins needed to be mounted on the frunk and this caused the pins to not lock the rubbers.
This is the only point which needed a bit of attention (and a bit of wiggling of some cables so the frunk would rest nicely on the cars beams). Very nice product and am happy with my purchase. I have been using it for some time now and there is no noise and it is still firmly in position.

Ich habe den Frunk für meinen BMW iX3 erhalten und gleich eingebaut. Transport in die Schweiz klappte problemlos. Der Frunk passt wunderbar und ich kann nun die Ladekabel an einem zugänglichen Ort verstauen.
