It fits in all current variants of the BMW iX1 and explicitly in the edrive20 and xdrive30.
This trunk under the front hood offers you additional storage space for your charging cables and many other things you need in everyday life. Whether you’re packing for a vacation, a trip or just want a tidy trunk, the BMW iX1 Frunk gives you significantly more space. The charging cable in particular is often lying carelessly in the trunk or under the trunk floor in vehicles without frunk and is difficult to access when you have loaded something. We have the solution.

Installation is very easy and is based on existing points. No screws or anything similar are necessary, just insert it and you’re done. This means that it can also be used in leasing vehicles without any problems.
The Frunk is made from self-extinguishing ABS V0. This material is very robust, extremely resistant to breakage and self-extinguishes in the event of a fire.

FAQs:
- Do I have to register my frunk or is there an ABE?
No and no. We have coordinated with the TÜV here and since the BMW iX1 Frunk can be installed and removed without tools, it is technically classified as a load. Thus, no ABE or other registration is required. - Does the installation of the frunk affect the thermal management?
The Frunk replaces an existing cover and therefore does not change the current thermal behavior. - Will I lose my warranty by installing the Frunk?
Since we can’t speak for BMW, we can’t answer that. We can only reassure you that in all our years we have never heard of a customer having problems. We can also not think of any valid arguments for a loss of warranty. - Should I remove my Frunk before visiting a workshop?
Yes, we recommend removing the Frunk before an appointment in the workshop to avoid discussions.

After having a Wokeby trunk extension in my wife’s i3S for the last 3 years and having just bought an iX1 I was delighted to find that Wokeby made a frunk for the iX1, as the under floor storage in the trunk is limited and is otherwise taken up with all the charging cables. Mine arrived in Spain this morning and it literally took me 3 minutes to take it down to the garage and install it! No tools needed. No DIY skills needed! It comfortable holds the home charging cable (mode 2), the public charging cable (mode 3), the tire repair kit and the emergency kit! It all looks safe and secure and I’m very happy with it!
