The Charge Port Flap for Volkswagen Group EVs based on the MEB platform is close to launch.
After successful testing and fit checks, production has already been commissioned.
The final product is not 3D printed. Durability is a key requirement, which is why production is handled by the same partner that manufactures the proven BMW i3 Charge Port Flap.
The Charge Port Flap is 100% Made in Germany, ensuring high quality, short transport distances, and a low CO₂ footprint.
It is made from polypropylene and PA, materials chosen for their durability, temperature resistance, and solid look and feel.
EPDM cellular rubber seals reliably protect the charging port from water.
Fitment has been confirmed for:
VW ID.3, ID.4, ID.5, Škoda Enyaq, Cupra Born, Audi Q4 e-tron, and Audi Q5 e-tron. It’s likely that it will also fit more models. At the moment we are focusing on the CCS Type 2 charging port, not suitable for US or Asian models.
The launch is planned for the end of February.
